Executive Staff

Our executive staff members are experienced, caring professionals committed to the SCHAS mission and to providing the highest quality care to Renaissance Terrace residents.

Tim Howell, Chief Executive Officer
Tim began his career with Senior Citizens Home Assistance Services in 2001 as Finance Director. He was promoted to CEO on October 1, 2008, when Ludell Coffey retired and turned leadership of the organization over to him. He is president of the Tennessee Association of Homemaker Service Providers and a member of the National Council on Aging and the Downtown Rotary. Tim graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1990 with a B.S. degree in accounting and has a nonprofit certificate from Harvard University. He and his wife, Penny, live in Halls. They have three daughters and one granddaughter.

Debbie Turley, Chief Operations Officer
Debbie joined the Senior Citizens Home Assistance Services team in 2006. She is a graduate of the Baptist Hospital School of Nursing and received her B.S. degree in nursing from the University of Tennessee in 1982. Her husband, Tim, is the Pastor of Broadway Baptist Church. They have three daughters.
Anne Murphy, Administrator
Anne came to Senior Citizens Home Assistance Service with more than 25 years of experience in operations, marketing and management of hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, senior housing programs and home health care organizations. She holds a Board of Regents Bachelor of Arts degree from West Virginia University and is a licensed nursing home administrator.
Tom Coulter, Finance Director
Tom joined Senior Citizens Home Assistance Service in 2008. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and the University of Chicago School of Business, where he earned an MBA in finance. Tom and his wife, Donna, both attended Holston High School in Knoxville, and they now live in Maryville. Their son, daughter, son-in-law and grandson also live in Maryville.
Phyllis Williams, Marketing Director
Phyllis started her career with the Senior Citizens Home Assistance Service in 2000. She has more than 20 years of experience in senior services and marketing. She serves on several boards, including KUB Project Help. She lives in North Knoxville and has four daughters and one son.
